Pagosa Hot Springs

Filming at the Springs Resort: April 19-22-2026

3 days filming at the world’s deepest geothermal hot spring

Imagine stepping into a living cathedral where the Earth herself whispers secrets through steam-kissed air. That’s exactly where our cameras dove deep during our recent pilgrimage to Pagosa Hot Springs—and what a revelation it was.

The team at The Springs Resort didn’t just open their doors; they handed us the keys to their sacred realm. Full, unfettered access. Generous support that felt like an embrace from the waters themselves. They housed us and our gear, letting us move like true guardians of the source, then guided us through their masterpiece: tier upon tier of unfiltered geothermal pools, each one a distinct chapter in nature’s own storybook. No chemicals, no dilution—just pure, mineral-rich lifeblood rising from the planet’s deepest recorded spring, cascading in elegant, shimmering layers beneath the Colorado sky.

We floated through the steam’s hazy embrace, where time itself seemed to dissolve. Then came the sound bath—oh, the sound bath. Harmonic waves from singing bowls rippling across the water’s surface, merging with the springs’ gentle pulse until body, breath, and vibration became one indivisible whole.

It wasn’t just footage we captured; it was communion. Our drones danced high above, painting sweeping aerial poetry of the resort’s thermal tapestry against the rugged San Juan Mountains. Compelling B-roll flowed like the springs themselves—intimate close-ups of mineral crystals catching the light, steam curling like incense in a forgotten temple, water lapping at stone edges worn smooth by centuries of healing.

But the true magic surfaced in the interviews…

We sat with The Springs Resort team and facilitators, their voices reverberating with raw honesty as they shared stories of personal alchemy. Lives reshaped by these waters. Bodies mended. Connections established. One after another spoke of the profound synergy between the springs’ ancient embrace and the transformative power of sound bathing—how the two together unlock something deeper than relief, something that feels like remembering who we were always meant to be.

Emotional? That’s an understatement. These conversations cracked us open right alongside our subjects. Tears mixed with the steam. Laughter echoed off the pools. It was the kind of footage that doesn’t just tell a story—it invites you, our fellow Stewards, to step inside it.

This chapter at Pagosa isn’t just another location shoot for Beneath the Surface. It’s living proof of what we’ve been chasing since day one: hot springs as Earth’s original medicine, now amplified by practices that bridge the ancient and the now.

Thank you for being the current that keeps us flowing. Your belief in this journey—your stewardship of these sacred waters—makes every splash, every drone pass, every heartfelt confession possible.

Stay tuned, dear Stewards. More depths await.

With gratitude and geothermal warmth,

The Beneath the Surface Team
